MY WORK

DESIGN PHILOSOPHY

The proof is in the pudding. My hardworking

nature and care for people and being on a supportive team all started from early on in life. Simply put, my parents taught me right! I've worked since I was very young and appreciate the satisfaction and self worth that doing a job and doing it right to completion gives me. From a large family and traveling through many of life's experiences I have developed a strong core belief in the value of keeping things real, learning from the past, appreciating and respecting those people around me and diving into the future with passion, conviction and a drive to always keep doing better. 

I began early on with the experience of working in a nursing home since I was a teenager and I truthfully believe we all should share the passion

of working or helping others as the training ground into our careers. My experience lead me through college, paying for my tuition and then brought

me to my career direction from both a writing

and design background into my first job in design. From almost 20+ years learning the craft of corporate design, and advancing into creative marketing techniques, I moved into various publication mediums, ending up in large event  design graphics and moving onto web related design advertising. For the latter part of my career 

I developed in a manufacturing company as a

full-service designer with marketing and online media experience including web related skills.

We are multifaceted people who are made up of so many different levels of being, functioning, exisiting, developing and evolving. I see design as very similar. I see my observation of design and philosophy on achieving good design similar to the layering used in a photoshop design project. The layers in the project are intricate and each possess their own unique properties. Design can only exist first with the power of imagination of which all of us are capable. Through imagination we begin the process of breaking tasks down into smaller components. Through that understanding we work to achieve seeing our vision come true. The layering and skills used to develop each page each vary souly for the individual who creates them. My job as a designer is to make it look easy!. As we all know, nothing is as easy as it looks. If  I have accomplished mastering my skill, creating a visual piece that is appealing to those that appreciate the process and inspired others to create an outcome built on your passion I have become rewarded tenfold.
